Cannes Competition
The Street Pole Ads Cannes Award is a national competition presented annually by The ADreach Group in an effort to drive creativity in South Africa's outdoor media industry. The Award promotes and rewards excellence in outdoor creative execution; specifically acknowledging the appropriate application of creative to Street Pole Ads as a unique and highly efficient outdoor media alternative.

A substantial prize offering includes an all-expenses-paid trip for two to the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, and a significant Street Pole Ads advertising campaign for the winning team's Client. Finalists in the competition all receive entry into the outdoor advertising category at Cannes and are also featured in one of SA's foremost media and marketing publications.

From 2009/2010, an additional competition category will acknowledge the best overall campaign actually flighted on Street Pole Ads each year. Artwork will be evaluated on creativity and effective use of the medium. Basic outdoor advertising guidelines such as the use of simple single-minded messages, minimal text and high contrasting colours will be among the judging criteria. The winning creative team in this category will be rewarded with a brand new 42" LCD Television.
