Forming part of the launch of their exceptional new Supalites medium, ADreach recently took to the skies - clients and council members in tow - for an unforgettable helicopter tour of Joburg.

The spectacular 'sky safari' provided guests with an overview of Joburg's development and progress in preparation for hosting the 2010 FIFA World Cup. More than 50 clients and VIP's, including representatives from some of SA's top ad agencies, were offered a bird's-eye view introduction to ADreach's impressive new Supalites installations in Joburg. Each of the 25 prime Supalites sites incorporates attractive landscaping and comprehensive infrastructure upgrades, forming part of the City's street beautification activities in preparation for 2010.

Supalites will also play an important role as an advertising medium in the build-up to and during 2010. These large illuminated advertising signs are repetitively positioned at close proximity to road traffic, offering FIFA sponsors and partners with an unprecedented opportunity to showcase their brand to the millions of visitors and billions of spectators anticipated for 2010. 9m² (3.6m high x 2.5m wide) double-sided portrait signs are displayed on four consecutive poles on central road islands on major traffic routes, delivering the most commanding campaigns ever seen in SA. They are impossible to avoid. No other outdoor medium more effectively combines size, repetition, proximity and position to deliver the highest impact brand exposure 24 hours a day. ADreach has already received interest and enquiries from all over the world from outdoor advertising companies and even city officials.

ADreach used the Supalites launch as an opportunity to showcase their new upgraded, upsized and standardised Street Pole Ads frame installations - which offer clients between 50% and 100% more advertising surface area. Clients also received an overview of the Group's revised Road Grading system and new application and flighting methods (which allow for faster and more cost-effective turnaround times); and were introduced to ADreach's Net Rate billings system - recently implemented in support of new outdoor media industry standards in SA.

Other highlights of the tour included aerial views of major Gautrain construction sites and some of Joburg's key landmarks, among them FNB Soccer City - which will host the opening and final matches of the 2010 FIFA World Cup; Sandton City and Coca-Cola Park.

The extraordinary event paid fitting tribute to an exciting, high-impact advertising innovation that is set to elevate outdoor media in SA to unprecedented heights.
